After having sampled the delights of Prague head South East to Vienna, Austria and go all pyscho with some Sigmund Freud action. Home to Mozart and Beethoven (once upon a time - not now!) there’s a whole lot of culture going on here! Keep on trucking south into Slovenia and make a bee-line for the majestic glacial Lake Bled.

There’s heaps going on here for those with a taste for adventure sports and for those who’d rather not. Then make a right turn and drive further east into Hungary aiming for Budapest - one of the most beautiful cities in Europe - make sure you check out the banks of the Danube.

Budapest has had the first and third spots in Lonely planets ‘100 Greatest bars of the world’ poll this year - that’s a reason to go in itself! From Hungary take a leisurely drive to Slovakia and make sure you stop at the Romanesque Spis Castle which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site before pulling up at the city of Kosice for the night.

After Slovakia head north to Poland and stop at historical Krakow where you can immerse yourself in some Polish culture, make sure you go to the Jewish quarter. A few miles from Krakow, the Wieliczka Salt Mine (again a World Heritage site) is well worth a visit, everything there is made of salt including a chapel with salt chandeliers!

If you have time head further north in Poland to the city of Warsaw before making your way back to the Czech Republic and into the safe bosom of Praga!
